A Queen Mary in Goring Road, Worthing
This one from one of my Father's slides, Southdown PD3 933 6933CD just travels westwards along Goring Road in Worthing, just west of Alinora Avenue in August 1974 during the last days of the 31 service. Not much has changed in the vicinity, the concrete road surface has now been covered with tarmac and the change from 30mph to 40 mph is now behind the photographer, towards the Mulberry.I might be tempted to get a comparison shot in the evening if the weather holds off!

Just to start
A couple of less than perfect images from Ilford FP3 negatives that have seen a bit of wear. Both depicted at East Preston in the early 1960s, an exact date not available yet!

First up is 723, reg KUF723 a 1951 Leyalnd Titan PD2 with Leyaland bodywork. Sold for further service with Mexborough and Swinton Traction in 1965. |

Secondly, 769 OCD769 a 1955 Leyaland Titan PD2 with Park Royal bodywork. This vehicle went on to become part of the driver trainer fleet as 769T. |
