One of mine, a bit later than Dad's

Southdown Leyland National BCD819L at West Worthing 1979-1981
BCD819L, Southdown 19, a Leyland National from the first batch that Southdown received in 1973 in Tarring Road, West Worthing in about 1979-1981 on a 204 service. The majority of this batch was allocated to Worthing, for a long time. The only vehicles not allocated were 3 to 8 (excluding 6 which was exchanged with Maidstone and District for 26(PCD126M) which had a semi auto gearbox) which were allocated to Bognor Regis.

Of local interest are the shops on the left,  Photomart is still the site of a camera shop, now branded AllPhotos. In yellow next door is KG books ( I believe related to KG spares. the shop just to the left of the bus cab), now a tool shop. Next is Bollom dry cleaners , then the Hong Kong Chef., now the Shaan Indian Restaurant. I think the next shop was a furniture shop, it's now Tarring Clearance. Finally, KG Spares is still KG Spares.
In the background is West Worthing station and the Station Cafe. The only shop on the right that cab be identified is the Collectors Coin Medal shop that is still there today.
Car interest is provided ,firstly on the left by the rear end of a Rover P6, a blue L reg Hillman Avenger,  a V reg Escort Estate and a W reg car that could be a BMW or Peugeot?
Behind the bus is a MK2 Escort with driving school L plates.
On the right the red car could be a Vauxhall Chevette, then a Rover P5 , then possibly a blue Ford Anglia.
